thanksgiving #21  November 21, 2009 - 9:04 pm

Last night my husband installed a sound card in my computer. My onboard sound controller has had one foot in the grave for a long time. He asked me to pull the computer out from under my desk, but I couldn’t even get that far because it kept snagging on the floormat. I used to do all of my own computer tech work. I was handy with a flashlight and a screwdriver and a myriad of twisted cables around sharp edges and fragile circuits. Now I am spoiled with my own live-in techie. The sound card was one that he happened to have lying around. There were actually two close at hand, but this one made the final cut. I am thankful that I married a computer geek. The only downside is that I can’t pretend I don’t understand when he goes into technobabble (okay, well sometimes I really don’t).

I’m sure you still are handy with your computer :)
